What is Taco Bonus?

Taco Bonus lets admins give tacos directly to a team member's redeemable balance — outside the normal daily taco flow. It's a one-off tool for recognizing something that didn't happen inside HeyTaco itself, not a feature you set up once and leave running.

How is a Taco Bonus different from a normal taco?

Normal tacos come out of someone's daily giving limit, get tagged to a specific message, and show up on the leaderboard. Bonus tacos skip all of that — they're added straight to the recipient's redeemable balance by an admin, don't come from anyone's daily allotment, and don't affect leaderboard totals.

When should I use Taco Bonus?

Taco bonuses are great for recognizing achievements that happen outside of HeyTaco's day-to-day giving, such as:

● Employee referrals

● Completing training or certifications

● Company milestones or special occasions

It's the right tool when you, as an admin, want to reward something on your own judgment, one time, without setting anything up in advance.

How do I give a Taco Bonus?

Go to Admin → People, find the team member you'd like to reward, and use the Taco Bonus option. You can also give the same bonus to multiple people at once — useful for team-wide rewards. You have to be an admin to use this feature.
